My boyfriend loves taking silly pictures of me with his iPhone. And I love him. :) (Gandalf is a program I’m using to extract galaxy kinematics. But I totally love the wizard too!)

Yoga Challenge: Day III

Power yoga! I’m back to something I know and understand a little better. Unfortunately, my upper back and shoulders were quite sore from my last two yoga sessions, and the mere thought of downward dog made me cringe. But it is what it is, and I’m only in that room for 60 minutes, so I might as well make the most of it. I’m not saying I made it through all my postures perfectly (but here’s hoping I’ll be able to later on), but I definitely enjoyed just powering through a physical practice. It seems completely backwards, but I left this class feeling much happier and lighter, even though it wasn’t meant to open my heart or cleanse my spirit or nitpick at my aura. It almost seems like I meet any invitation to introspect and change myself emotionally with resistance, if not straight up hostility… Very interesting.
